Portfolio Manager, CFA

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior management team in assisting with the investment research and analysis process and managing existing and new client relationships. The primary role is to assist with the investment research process and to service new and existing relationships on an ongoing basis. The firm’s Portfolio Managers conduct the portfolio management and provide all necessary support including market commentary, newsletters, portfolio illustrations, investment proposals and performance reports.


  • Portfolio accounting, reporting and corporate action processing and verification
  • Preparation and review of client reports and/or materials for client meetings
  • Data entry and database maintenance
  • Review and production of compliance trade reports
  • Assist in all investment management systems and processes
  • Execute all client portfolio reporting
  • Conduct all client trading
  • Research and monitor existing portfolio allocations and asset selection and recommend changes to the investment management committee
  • Supervise and manage all portfolio services administrators
  • Manage firm relationships with investment related vendors


Desired Skills or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
  • Proven ability to manage projects, work independently and problem solve
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, written and verbal, and experience working in a team setting
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong MS excel experience, and familiarity w/ portfolioaccounting software a big plus
  • Highly proficient technological and computer skills required
  • Excellent communication abilities and strong client service skills required
  • It is necessary to be exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks
