Learn how financial planning worksFINANCIAL PLANNING
At Anchor Bay we strive to make the financial planning process easy to understand. Because everyone is different, we tailor our approach to each of our clients. Some wish for a basic top-line approach – they don’t have any desire to go into great detail – they just want a professional to put together a plan for them. For those people we simplify our discussions. Others, however, desire a more thorough understanding of all that we do and how we do it. For them, we’re happy to spend as much time as we need to make sure all questions are being answered in detail.
So rest assured that we’ll work with you however you would like us to. That’s the Anchor Bay way. After all, we’re here to serve you. Financial planning at Anchor Bay follows five easy steps.
This is where we get to know each other. We explain who we are, how we approach investments, how we get paid and how financial planning can help you. Then we get to know more about you. What are your financial goals? What are your priorities? What is your current situation? How can we help you?
This is where we gather the data we need from you in order to start building a plan. We collect tax documents, paycheck stubs, benefits, and statements – everything we can get in order to form a complete picture of where you are financially. We then take this information and build your very own Personal Financial Website.
At this stage, we conduct a review of your current financial condition to give you a crystal-clear picture of where you are and where you need to go in order to achieve your goals. We discuss the gap between where you are and where you want to be and we give you ideas on how to close that gap.
Here we present you with our financial blueprint – the path we recommend to get you in line with your desired goals in your desired timeframe. This personal Financial Plan will be your roadmap to success.
We set up ongoing tracking of your finances so we can monitor your progress. We also create a schedule for reviewing and updating your plan. It’s important for you to realize that Financial Planning is not a one time only event. It’s not a set-it-and-forget-it scenario. It’s a constant process that is dynamic and fluid and must be adjusted as your life and circumstances change. This is what sets us apart from many advisors — we never stop working for you. That’s why so many of our clients become like family to us. We celebrate and share their life stages and accomplishments and we’re constantly adjusting their Financial Plan to make sure it’s perfect for them every step of the way.
